Last Thursday we decided to make the most out of the wonderful weather, go out of campus and take a train to Rhode Island. From South Station in Boston, you can get there for less than $12 and the train is only about 45 minutes commuting in.
At Rhode Island I was fortunate enough to have my cousin picking us up, driving us around showing us the interesting places nearby and letting us taste some of the of the best fried calamari and lobster rolls I have ever tasted. The Rhode Islanders told me that one of the reasons that Calamari is so good there is because its freshly caught in the waters and they rarely freeze it before use. They are also usually smaller than other calamari making them even sweeter.
The highlight of the trip, however, was undoubtedly a boat ride at Wickford with some of my favourite people in the world. New England boats, cooling off in the ocean and eating good seafood is definitely something I could get used to! :)
